    The necessary experience can be a combination of both local and overseas work, but there's a specific requirement of 12 to 24 months of experience gained within Australia.     Regulatory Licensing Requirement

    According to NSW Fair Trading, tradies applying for a license must have the relevant industry knowledge and experience and have completed:

    • CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or
    •  CPC30611 / CPC30608 / BCG30603 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
